Josiah Bates

Josiah Bates is a New York City-based journalist. He covers criminal justice issues like policing, gun violence and crime legislation. He most recently worked as an enterprise reporter at theGrio. Before that, he spent three years at TIME Magazine as a news reporter and staff writer. His first book, “In These Streets: Reporting from the Front Lines of Inner-City Gun Violence” comes out on May 28th.
